Association between the degree of Osteoarthritis and pain level of patients at Baptist Hospital, Batu City

Osteoarthritis is a chronic disease characterized by the destruction of cartilage in joints, causing stiffness, pain, and impaired movement. The condition most commonly affects joints knees, hands, feet, spine, often shoulders hips. Knee osteoarthritis major public health problem that causes pain reduces physical function quality life. This study determined relationship between degree level patients at Baptist Hospital, Batu City. research used cross-sectional with 31 respondents. Data collection was conducted directly using WOMAC (Western Ontario McMaster Universities Index) questionnaire, modified Indonesian. To determine grade Kellgren-Lawrence system. results showed out respondents, there were nine (29%) who had 1 osteoarthritis, 12 (38.7%) 2, 10 (32.3%) 3. There 22 (71%) mild level, four (13%) moderate five (16%) severe level. Spearman correlation test no significant (p>0.05) patients. concludes increasing pain.
